Herman Cain Suspends His Campaign

On December 3, 2011, in News, by Rightwinger

Can’t say we didn’t see this coming .  Today Herman Cain, victim of the flurry of allegations of inappropriate behavior and his weak and slow responses to those allegations, chose to “suspend” his campaign , which essentially means he’s dropping out: My local Tea Party group endorsed Cain about a month ago and just sent out a poignant email about these developments.  Instead of voting for the Republican, the author of the email will write-in Sarah Palin or Herman Cain regardless of whether or not that helps Obama win, worried about the current GOP field continuing our lurch towards socialism.  Wacky point of view given the alternative. I’ve never heard my local Tea Party group sound so much like Republicans — no political group jumps on their swords quicker than the GOP, so why buy Viagra online should the Tea Party start joining in?  Hold your nose, get Obama out, and keep the protests going against Romney/Gingrich when one of them wins.  Primary the RINOs, work to change politics locally, and stand on principle — all of which become less dire without Obama in the picture.  The Tea Party will benefit more from taking the long-view than throwing fits about temporary set-backs.
